Each award includes a cash prize of \u20ac1500.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe award goes to a project that presents a unique perspective of an isolated space in a multifaceted form with nuanced sensory perception, though diverse visual and sound elements. The seclusion becomes a background for exploration of the many layers of relationships\u2014with one another, the nature, the neighborhood, and the current social and political context of the contemporary world,\u201d said the jury (Jorge Caballero Ramos and Zane Bal\u010dus) on awarding Best Pitch to <strong>La Casa<\/strong>, co-produced by the co-directors\u2019 own company Perut + Osnovikoff Ltd. and Germany\u2019s Dirk Manthey Film.<\/p>\n<p>About <strong>The New Greatness<\/strong>, a co-production between Russia\u2019s Ethnofund, Finland\u2019s IV Films, Norway\u2019s Piraya Film AS, and Croatia\u2019s Nukleus Film, the jury said: \u201cThe award goes to a project that represents the personal struggle of individuals against repressive power. Through closely observing the characters, the film becomes not just a testimony of events, but turns into an important tool to speak up and disclose the injustice and violation of human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the IDFA DocLab Forum jury, consisting of Anna Desponds, Luke W. Moody, and Monique Simard, said that it was difficult to select one project to support and that they hope all the pitching projects find new energy and financing through the Forum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project we would like to commend is one that centers on creative collaboration and celebrates lives that continue to be marginalized and denied.
