{"id":5188,"date":"2023-10-24T12:26:47","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T15:26:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/?p=5188"},"modified":"2023-10-24T12:41:43","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T15:41:43","slug":"chiledoc-will-have-its-launch-in-brazil-as-part-of-docsp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/chiledoc-will-have-its-launch-in-brazil-as-part-of-docsp\/","title":{"rendered":"Chiledoc Will Have Its Launch in Brazil as Part of Docsp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>\u00abChile and Brazil have a Film Co-Production Agreement that will allow us to strengthen networks and business between both countries,\u00bb says Paula Ossand\u00f3n, Director of Chiledoc.<\/p>\n<p>With the presence of its protagonist, Paulina Urrutia, The Eternal Memory, a documentary directed by Maite Alberdi, will have its Brazilian premiere at the Mostra of Sao Paulo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Chiledoc-at-DocSP-Catalogue.pdf\">Chiledoc at DocSP Catalogue<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the first time, <strong>Chiledoc arrives in Brazil<\/strong> within the framework of <strong>DocSP<\/strong>, seeking to promote the Chilean documentary and establish relations for <strong>co-productions between Chile and Brazil<\/strong>. <strong>Five Chilean projects<\/strong> will be part of this market, both in-person and online activities, encouraging the reflection of new narratives in the documentary genre. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Luis Gonz\u00e1lez Zaffaroni<\/strong>, <strong>Executive Director of DocSP<\/strong>, explains that <em>\u00abthis 9th edition marks a turning point in our internationalization, with two Bilateral Co-Production Meetings, one with Chile and the other with Colombia.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Regarding the scale of the event, which this year will take place from October 24 to 29, Gonz\u00e1lez adds, <em>\u00ab44 projects selected from Brazil, five projects from Chile, and five from Colombia will participate in the different networking activities, with over 40 representatives from the international market industry.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From <strong>ProChile<\/strong>, <strong>Rafael Sabat<\/strong>, <strong>Sectoral Brands Manager<\/strong>, celebrates Chile&#8217;s participation in DocSP in a context where the Sectoral Brands office is celebrating its 15th anniversary. <em>\u00abToday, more than ever, we emphasize the central characteristics of our Associativity and Diversity Program, both elements also highlighted by one of our main sectoral brands, Chiledoc.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Director of the ProChile&#8217;s office in Sao Paulo<\/strong>, <strong>Hugo Corales<\/strong>, points out that <em>\u00abChiledoc arrives at Brazil aiming to seek alliances that allow us to make the most of the existing co-production agreement between Chile and Brazil and to showcase the origin and quality characteristics of Chilean productions.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Paula Ossand\u00f3n<\/strong>, <strong>Director of Chiledoc<\/strong>, explains that <em>\u00abthe co-production agreement between Chile and Brazil represents a great opportunity to make alliances and business between both countries and benefit, for example, of the diverse financing and distribution sources available in each country, in a way, sharing a dual nationality.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Eternal Memory<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nThe candidate to represent Chile at the Goya Awards for Best Ibero-American Feature Film, <em><strong>The Eternal Memory<\/strong><\/em>, the award-winning documentary directed by <strong>Maite Alberdi<\/strong>, will have its <strong>Brazilian premiere at the 47th S\u00e3o Paulo International Film Festival Mostra<\/strong>, with the presence of its protagonist, <strong>Paulina Urrutia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/la-memoria-infinita-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1092\" height=\"573\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/la-memoria-infinita-3.jpg 1092w, https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/la-memoria-infinita-3-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/la-memoria-infinita-3-1024x537.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.chiledoc.cl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/la-memoria-infinita-3-768x403.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1092px) 100vw, 1092px\" \/><br \/>\nAt the same time, Urrutia will give a seminar at DocSP titled The Challenge of Acting without Representing. For <strong>Luis Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, this activity <em>\u00abwill bring cross-disciplinary discussions and provocations, creating connections between testimonial theater, documentary cinema, and the actor&#8217;s work.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Before Urrutia&#8217;s seminar, the <strong>Director of Chiledoc<\/strong>, <strong>Paula Ossand\u00f3n<\/strong>, will briefly introduce the possibilities and opportunities of <strong>co-producing with Chile<\/strong>, providing an overview of state support and financing for documentaries in our country. The objective is <strong>to promote co-production between Chile and Brazil<\/strong> in light of the existing <strong>cinematographic co-production agreement<\/strong> between the two nations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chile-Brazil Bilateral Co-production Meeting<\/strong><br \/>\nChile&#8217;s participation in DocSP includes online activities between five Chilean and five Brazilian production companies. From our country, the participants will be Cristi\u00e1n Hidalgo from Neurofilms; Isidora Fajardo from CUBHO Audiovisual; Daniela Camino from Mimbre Films; Miguel Soffia and Camila Maureira from We Are South; Cristian Valle from Wolf Producciones.<\/p>\n<p>From Neurofilms, Cristi\u00e1n Hidalgo, who will also be present in Sao Paulo, appreciates the opportunity to reach Brazil. \u00abOur project, Maestros del sonido LATAM, has co-production agreements with Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.
