\u25cf This year Chiledoc was one of the financing organizations of Conecta<\/strong>, VIII Meeting of the International Documentary Film Industry.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Conecta had 27 countries represented<\/strong>, 46 participating projects<\/strong>, 38 international guests<\/strong>, and 21 Chilean\u00a0guests<\/strong>.
\nTen projects were awarded, among which 13 awards from our partner organizations and companies were distributed.<\/p>\n

\u25cf A total of 14 awards<\/strong> were given to projects from Peru<\/strong>, Argentina<\/strong>, Brazil<\/strong>, Japan<\/strong>, Ecuador<\/strong> and Chile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Over 500 meetings<\/strong> were held, establishing connections with industry representatives from America<\/strong>, Europe<\/strong>, and Asia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u25cf For the second time in Latin America<\/strong>, The Whickers<\/strong> Prize, consisting of \u00a33,000, was awarded. This time, it went to the Brazilian-Japanese<\/strong> project Green Kids<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Pedro Nishi and produced by Jo\u00e3o Pedro Bim and Lucas Silva Campos.<\/p>\n

Conecta has positioned itself in the region as a seedbed for new talents<\/strong> and projects in development<\/strong>. One of its objectives as an industry meeting is to be a space dedicated to promote the commercialization<\/strong> and distribution<\/strong> of Latin American projects<\/strong>, and contact them with the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Diego Pino<\/strong>, Executive Director of CCDoc<\/strong>, points out that \u00abThis year we would particularly like to thank the representatives of the Latin American projects that participated in Conecta, because through their different perspectives and diversity of languages, they came to the meeting, not only to connect with the industry, but also in the spirit of generating networks to strengthen the documentary community. It was also a search for identity, belonging and, in addition, a reflection on the problems that afflict the continent. We hope that the ties forged during Conecta will foster a sustainable relationship over time\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n
