The 9th edition of Conecta<\/strong>, International Documentary Industry Meeting will be held from December 10 to 13 <\/strong>in Santiago of Chile. Chiledoc once again supports this unique event which connects 73 Latin American documentary proyects<\/strong> with 79 documentary industry representatives<\/strong> from around the world. In total, 28 countries<\/strong> from the America, Europe and Asia are participating in the event.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Chiledoc, in addition to hosting the opening of Conecta, is in charge of the invitation of three key industry representatives:
\nTiago Ornaghi of Globoplay (Brazil), Renato Manganello of Utopia Docs (Brazil\/Portugal) and Jean-Jacques Peretti of Sunny Side of the Doc (France).<\/p>\n

\u25cf On the other hand, Chiledoc will launch the results of a study on the internationalization and commercialization of Chilean documentaries, in a panel with experts on December 12 at noon in the Main Hall of the \u00d1u\u00f1oa Cultural Corporation, located at 4280 Irarr\u00e1zaval Ave.<\/p>\n

\u25cf In addition, two workshops<\/strong> will be held – the Funding and Market Application Workshop<\/strong> with the guidance of Isabel Arrate; and the Connect with your Roots Workshop<\/strong>, in alliance with the Documentary Film Program of the Sundance Institute, and the Chilean Documentary Corporation CCDoc. <\/p>\n

\u25cf The selected projects will be able to participate in networking activities and more than 900 – online and on site-<\/strong> meetings with Chileans and internationals industry representatives. <\/p>\n

Pitch The Whickers<\/ins><\/p>\n

For the third consecutive year, the British fund The Whickers will award three thousand pounds sterling to one of the eight Latin American debut films selected.<\/p>\n

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta<\/ins><\/p>\n

In a four-year alliance, the Santiago International Documentary Film Festival FIDOCS and Conecta will hold the Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta, in which 6 feature films from Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Chile will be selected for the editing stage.<\/p>\n
