Chilean participation also included the world premiere of the short film <em>Ezkutuko materialak (Hidden Materials)<\/em>, a Colombia\u2013Chile co-production co-produced by Celeste Rojas Mugica.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chilean documentary had a strong presence at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fidmarseille.org\">FIDMarseille<\/a> 2026<\/strong>, one of Europe&#8217;s leading festivals dedicated to auteur and documentary cinema. In this year&#8217;s edition, the feature documentary <strong><em>Az Zeeb<\/em><\/strong>, directed by <strong>Rafael Guendelman<\/strong> and produced by <strong>Joaqu\u00edn Echeverr\u00eda<\/strong>, received the <em>Special Mention of the Jury of the 2nd Chance School<\/em> following its world premiere in the <em>First Film Competition<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The award marks another milestone in the film&#8217;s international journey, which began at <strong>Cannes Docs<\/strong> during the <em>March\u00e9 du Film<\/em>, where it received the <strong>Doha Film Institute Award<\/strong>. Since then, the project has continued its development as a co-production with <strong>Al Jazeera Documentary<\/strong> and is set to premiere in Chile through <strong>Miradoc<\/strong> in 2027.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abPremiering <strong>Az Zeeb<\/strong> at FIDMarseille was a great joy. We felt it was the ideal place to present the film and were met with full screenings and audiences deeply engaged in the conversations after each screening. We are especially excited that the film is connecting with younger generations and and to now begin its international journey before its theatrical release in Chile.\u00bb<\/em> say Rafael Guendelman and Joaqu\u00edn Echeverr\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Chilean participation at the festival also included the world premiere of <strong><em>Ezkutuko materialak (Hidden Materials)<\/em><\/strong>, selected for the <em>Flash Competition<\/em>.
