More than eight sections at Cannes’ Festival’s important market welcomed a robust and diverse Chilean delegation this year, composed of documentary, fiction, animation, and short films producers and filmmakers.
It is not a surprise Marché du Film is seen as the heart of the Cannes Film Festival; it is one of the most relevant in the world. Every year, hundreds of industry professionals take part in this event, searching for sales agents, coproductions, distributors, and every other network that will allow the further development of their films. There is no doubt Marché du Film is a fundamental showcase for audiovisual projects and their filmmakers. And in this 73rd edition, Chile didn’t want to be left out and brought a delegation composed of more than 60 people and 38 projects of different genres.

Chile’s participation is led by different public and private institutions: Ministry of the Arts, Cultures, and Patrimonies (MINCAP), ProChile, Chilean Documentary Corporation, CinemaChile and Chiledoc sectorial brands, and the Chilean Cartoon Association and their brand Chilean Animation, Chile Shorts and SANFIC Festival.
