Synopsis

The director reopens a court case for her abduction at the age of three. The intelligence services of the Chilean dictatorship were looking for her father and used her as a hostage. The Cause explores the present throbbing of this experience that intersects with the reading of a book and the story of a painting hanging in the living room of her house, while the justice that was insistently sought does not arrive.
