Synopsis

The notebook of a political relegation during the dictatorship of Pinochet in Insular Patagonia is found by his niece 35 years later. This writing tells us the extrañamiento that produced the lejanía del relegamiento and how it was related to the people of the australian archipelagoes, entering little by little in a way of life with another time, centered on the sea and the navigation through the channels of la Patagonia.

  Rodríguez Cerda

  Director and producer

  Felipe Rodríguez Cerda (Chile, 1995), anthropologist, audiovisual producer and writer. He worked in the documentary Los Vecinos del Abuelo (2019), the audiovisual essay Incidentes in the Laboratory (2020), he co-directed the audiovisual essay Annotations for a video-obituary (2020) and published the collection of poems Estelas de Cóndores Fosforescentes (2018). He is currently developing the post-production of his short film «Cuaderno de Agua» with the Audiovisual Fund call 2022.

  Producer

  Master in Documentary Film EICTV (Cuba) and has done an Internship in Documentary Filmmaking at Ateliers Varan (Paris). Co-founder of DOCLA (Network of Latin American Documentalists), he has worked on different independent audiovisual projects, at the same time he has led practical workshops and artist residencies in different areas of Chile and France.
