Synopsis

Mauricia, a poet and singer from central Chile, subjected to the violence and machismo of rural culture, seeks to reconcile her life through her songs. When Mauricia shares these songs of pain with other women, new changes take place. Together they give a voice to their silenced sufferings and connect with an inner strength that allows them to move forward with their lives, raise their children and regain their dignity.

Among his most recent projects are the documentary shorts “Fondos Comunes” (2022), the documentary series “Outside my window” (Palestine 2018), “And Action!” (Bolivia 2019), and currently in development of the long documentary «Guardians of the Amazon» (Bolivia 2025).

Cinelebu 2022: Project consultancy in the context of activities carried out during the festival.
Between September and December 2022, the project was part of the Editing and Distribution Workshop organized by the Documentary Film Corporation in Chile (CCDOC), benefiting from the guidance of Paola Castillo and Carolina Siraqyan. In December, the project also participated in the industry event «Conecta.»
In May 2023, our documentary was selected for the 7th Salon of Producers and Cinematographic Projects FICCali 2023. Furthermore, in November 2023, the production team will take part in the industry event organized by SAPCINE in Cali, Colombia.
