Tatuna (89), a wealthy elderly woman clinging to her mansion in Mendoza, faces the return of her daughter from Chile and a battle over the inheritance, only to realize that her kingdom is an illusion: barren lands, insurmountable debts, and a past that haunts her more than the future.
Director
She is a filmmaker and teacher. She directed El cielo está rojo, a documentary built from court records, which had its world premiere at IDFA 2020 and was the opening film of Berlinale Critics’ Week. The film has received recognition at several international festivals, including Toulouse and Guadalajara.
Producer
Chilean director, screenwriter and producer. In 2011, she directed the documentary Hija. Her producing credits include the documentaries Robar a Rodin (Cristóbal Valenzuela), El viaje Espacial and El que baila pasa (Carlos Araya Díaz). She also co-wrote the documentary Visión Nocturna (Carolina Moscoso). Her fiction feature debut, Lina de Lima (2019), premiered in the Discovery section of the Toronto International Film Festival and received an award at the Valdivia International Film Festival. Through her production company, Maria una vez, she works on the development of fiction and documentary feature films. She also teaches film.
Producer
Argentinian film producer based in Buenos Aires, with an extensive career in international auteur and documentary cinema. She has produced more than 30 feature films, most of them international co-productions, which have been presented at major festivals including Berlinale, San Sebastián, IDFA, Rotterdam, TIFF and Venice. Her recent credits include Reas (2024) by Lola Arias, Mixtape La Pampa (2023) by Andrés Di Tella, El Castillo (2023) by Martín Benchimol and Pornomelancolía (2022) by Manuel Abramovich. Her filmography also includes titles such as Lina de Lima (2019) by María Paz González and Teatro de Guerra (2018) by Lola Arias.
