Synopsis

An aunt who was imprisoned in the dictatorship and who never had children; an aunt who went to Brazil for twenty years and returned to Chile, leaving three young daughters; an aunt who, overwhelmed by life, commits suicide at sea. Half-truths, uncomfortable silences and fractured ties that drive a nephew to seek answers and achieve healing, through dialogue and remembrance, to transmit the family memory to his little daughter.

He has directed the short films “Todo lo demá” (2016), the documentary “Arreglos internos” (2015) and currently the feature film documentary “Three Sorrowful Aunts”.

  Filmmaker from the University of Valparaíso. Diploma in Executive Production for Audiovisual and Musical Projects. She has directed various film projects including «Retorno» (Audiovisual Fund 2019) and «Renacer», which she also produced. She has experience as an executive, general and field producer in fiction and documentary short films. She is currently co-executive producer of “Three Sorrowful Auts”.

  Flores

  Producer

  Journalist from the Alberto Hurtado University, has earned degrees in Screenwriting from the Chilean Film School and Executive Production from the Catholic University of Chile. He has produced the fiction short films “Eso que a mí me falta” and “Pagando” and the short film documentaries “Alfarería Quinchamalí́ and Santa Cruz de Cuca” (Unesco 2021), “Chillán, land of survivors”, “Caminando a paso firme ” . He is co-executive producer of the feature film “Three Sorrowful Aunts”.
