Synopsis

15-year-old Barbara leaves behind the crisis in Venezuela and embarks on a journey to traverse South America, seeking better life conditions in Chile. She recalls the night she crossed the Andean Plateau at 4,000 meters above sea level, struggling against biting cold and exhaustion but guided by a spiritual presence that wanders like the wind. This otherworldly landscape of snowcapped mountains, wild alpacas, crystal clear streams, and parched stretches of desert between Bolivia and Chile make up one of the most dangerous migrant routes in Latin America. Amidst desolation, one thing remains clear to Barbara: she must never give up no matter what.
