Res Judicata seeks to portray Carlos Cerda, a judge who played an essential role in the defense of human rights during the dictatorship, proving the existence of forced disappearances and refusing to apply the Amnesty Law. Through a personal journey marked by both successes and setbacks, the director draws on a wide range of materials to weave together a narrative that also reveals the long-standing friendship between them, which began with the director’s first film 20 years ago.
