Synopsis

In 2021, northern Chile witnessed an unprecedented crisis that made a mark with a violent anti-migration march, the burning of tents and a child’s stroller in Iquique. Its images circulated worldwide, but the stories of those affected went untold. This choral narrative serves as a living testimony of those who continue entering despite adversities, and the local inhabitants who navigate through a growing social conflict, the harshness of the Atacama Desert and the Andean Highlands.

  A graduate in Direction and Screenwriting from the Bande À Part School in Barcelona, Amilcar Infante is the founder of Amilcar Films. He has written and directed short films, music videos, and content for various organizations. Currently, he is preparing his debut feature film, developing the miniseries «Fotos, Un Diálogo Entre el Pasado y el Presente,» and co-producing the documentary «Julio Escámez, Principio y Fin» in collaboration with Décima Films.

  Sebastián González Méndez, a Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile with a Diploma in Executive Production for Film and Television, has worked in various production roles, developing formats such as television series, web series, short films, and music videos for various national artists. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Amilcar Films, he is involved in the post-production of the company’s first feature film and the distribution of their short films «No lo Mires» and «Consagración,» produced in 2023.
