Synopsis

Two journeys that take place a century apart. In 1895, a group of 165 Selk'nam was captured in Tierra del Fuego island and forcibly sent to Punta Arenas city for domestic service to settler families. In 2021, Fernanda Olivares, a Selk’nam descendant, is the first of her community to return and live at her ancestor’s territory, stripped after the genocide, to demonstrate that her people are not extinct.

    Catholic University of Chile Architect, UANDES Master in History and Management of Cultural Heritage, and filmmaker. He has directed and produced short fiction and documentary films. «Vuelvo donde nunca estuve» (I’m back where I’ve never been) is Andrés’ debut as a feature film director.

    Executive Producter

    Journalist and Public Relations Officer, with a degree in Communications. Diploma in Marketing at the National Technological University, Buenos Aires. Partner of the documentary production company Tonina Sur Films and producer of the Sustainable Heritage Foundation.
