Synopsis

CIENCIA VIOLETA is a documentary series about the work of outstanding Latin American scientists in various fields: medicine, epidemiology, paleontology, marine biology.

Passionate researchers lead challenging explorations of high human and scientific interest, which delve into the historical, cultural and natural diversity of Latin America and at the same time challenge gender stereotypes, inspiring new generations to social transformation. The series addresses the impact of these scientific missions on people’s daily lives, demonstrating that Latin American science carried out by women, in addition to making important contributions to the world of knowledge, can also be close, attractive, moving and have a high international impact.
