Synopsis

The town with swing presents a phenomenon that takes place in the coastal town of Papudo. There, an elite sport like golf is even more popular than soccer. The explanation dates back to 1932 when a group of vacationers convinced a landowner to donate part of it to build a golf course. He agreed on the condition that the inhabitants of Papudo could play. The Papudans; fishermen, gardeners, grocers, taxi drivers and carpenters, among other trades, adapted wooden clubs and seaweed balls, and quickly improved in the sport. Their story, which highlights the Encina family with 13 brothers and a national champion, and that of the new generations, is what this documentary tells with great emotion and particular humor.
