This documentary essay is a reflection about the importance of the quotidian in the field of historiography, using the re-signification of recycled archive footage from Chilean television newsreels and commercials from the 1980s, which were silenced in order to promote an ideological discourse during Pinochet’s dictatorship.

Director and producer
(Santiago, 1987) is an industrial maintenance worker, baker and self-taught filmmaker.
In 2020 he founded the production company Cagliostro Cinema, oriented to the exploration of new models of
audiovisual discourse models. Among his lines of work are the film-essay, the use of archival material and the
essay, the use of recycled archive material and the anti-documentary. His short films have participated
participated in several festivals and international markets. He is currently working on his first feature film.
Producer
(Santiago, 1999) is a film director and head of production within the emerging production company
Cagliostro cinema. He also has a degree in Project Management Engineering. He has worked
in advertising and as a member of the production company Cagliostro Cinema he has produced and directed short films selected in international festivals and markets. He is currently
currently developing his directorial debut.
