Synopsis

In 2021, northern Chile witnessed one of the most noteworthy events in the region—a violent anti-immigrant march, the burning of tents, and the destruction of family belongings in Iquique. While these images circulated worldwide, the stories of those affected remained untold. This choral narrative serves as a living testimony of those who continue migrating despite the adversities, as well as the local residents living amidst a growing social conflict, the harshness of the Atacama Desert, and the Andean Altiplano.

  A graduate in Direction and Screenwriting from the Bande À Part School in Barcelona, Amilcar Infante is the founder of Amilcar Films. He has written and directed short films, music videos, and content for various organizations. Currently, he is preparing his debut feature film, developing the miniseries «Fotos, Un Diálogo Entre el Pasado y el Presente,» and co-producing the documentary «Julio Escámez, Principio y Fin» in collaboration with Décima Films.

  Sebastián González Méndez, a Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile with a Diploma in Executive Production for Film and Television, has worked in various production roles, developing formats such as television series, web series, short films, and music videos for various national artists. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Amilcar Films, he is involved in the post-production of the company’s first feature film and the distribution of their short films «No lo Mires» and «Consagración,» produced in 2023.
