Synopsis

Desert or burned log in the kakán language, transports the audience to Punta de Choros, a village in northern Chile. This desert environment and its inhabitants are interrupted by Dominga, a mining project that threatens the biodiversity of the arid landscapes.

  Director and producer

  Valentina Godoy Rivera was born in 2000 in the city of La Serena, Chile. In 2019, entered the Faculty of Communications at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is currently in her last year of Audiovisual Direction at the same university. “Paitanas” is her the first documentary short film. Her main focus of audiovisual interest are photography, directing and art in all its forms.
