Synopsis

In a corner of Félix Bulnes Hospital, the Palliative Care Unit welcomes patients in their final days of life, where the harsh reality of illness contrasts with the warmth and humanity of its team. Through deep empathy, the dedication and the invisibility of these patients finding solace in this small space are brought to light.

  Director

  Cristopher Farfán, an editor and filmmaker, has worked on documentaries, music videos, and political projects, exploring human and social themes. A Film graduate from the Universidad del Desarrollo, he is known for editing the documentary series Reinventados, which focuses on immigrant families, and for his role as an assistant editor in The Mole Agent. His experience includes directing short films and political campaigns, where he demonstrates versatility and creativity in addressing topics such as empathy and dignity. He is currently developing the documentary Palliative Transit, which focuses on palliative care within Chile’s public healthcare system, reflecting his interest in bringing visibility to stories of high social vulnerability. In addition, he aims to establish himself in the audiovisual industry as a creator committed to making a social impact through cinema.

  Estrada

  Producer

  Karla Estrada is a TV producer with more than 20 years of experience, specialising in content aimed at children and family audiences. She is currently the General Producer at Punta a Cabo Producciones, leading projects such as Reinventados (CNTV 2021), Despensa Latinoamericana and Ritmos de la Diáspora (in development). Previously, she worked at Mi Chica Producciones, where she participated in projects such as the Emmy-winning ¿Con Qué Sueñas? and the Emmy-nominated Sueños Latinoamericanos. Her career includes 18 years at Aplaplac, with a highlight in the 31 Minutos franchise (series, film, and live shows). She is also studying a Diploma in Cultural Management (Fondart 2024 grant).
