Synopsis

Klaudia, decides to travel to her childhood home in Brazil to visit her old father. For 20 years they have written letters of intense depth to each other. However, their correspondence is interrupted since the father had a brain accident and became aphasic, losing the capacity of language, which was his strength as a psychoanalyst and father from a distance. Do human beings need to communicate with their environment? How do we communicate? Are we dependent on language? Can affection build language, beyond words? Can the camera be a communication device between two beings who cannot speak?

  Visual artist, designer and filmmaker, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she lives in Santiago de Chile. She has explored the languages of painting, photography, animation, video installation and film. His work questions identity through inquiries into the human body and the aesthetics of biographical reconstruction. His works are part of the collection of MoMA New York and the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Spain among others and have been exhibited in more than 20 countries. His recent productions are: THE PRESENT (does not exist) (2016); the series The Artists’ Cooperative (2018); the series CHILEAN WOMEN ARTISTS (2020). Bringing the Voice (2023) and the series Women Artists, a life creating.
